Athylene Moore Hawkins

Athylene Moore Hawkins was born December 8, 1935, in Clay County, TN, and she passed away on Wednesday, September 13, 2023 at Bethesda Health Care in Cookeville, TN, at the age of 87.

She was the daughter of the late Bill Moore and Dora Edna Netherton Moore. She was married to the late Jodie “Bud” Hawkins, who passed away October 22, 2014. She was a pastry cook for Rice Motor Inn.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her Brother: Willie Moore; and Sister: Irene Cherry Hatchett.

Survivors include her Son: David (Sherry) Hawkins of Cookeville, TN; Daughter: Rita (Melvin) Dickens of Cookeville, TN; Grandchildren: Travis Dickens, Dewayne Hawkins, Alicia (Chris) White, Tiffany Wilson, Daniel Thompson, and Kaycie Thompson; and Great Grandchildren: Reanna White, Joseph White, Jacob Wilson, Noah Wilson, Kruz Thompson, Raylan Thompson, and Johnny Thompson.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, September 17, 2023, at 4 P.M. at Anderson Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN, with Bro. Jimmy Anderson officiating. Burial will follow in the John L. Clark Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday from 4 P.M. – 8 P.M. and Sunday from 11 A.M. until time of services.
