Funeral services for Mr. Arvil C. Dill, 84, of Gainesboro, Tennessee, will be held at 2 P.M. on Friday, October 17, 2008, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the Pharris Cemetery in the McCoinsville community of Jackson County, TN. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 11 A.M. - 9 P.M., and Friday from 10 A.M. until time of services. Mr. Dill passed away on Tuesday, October 14, 2008, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center in Cookeville, TN. He was born September 1, 1924, in Jackson County, TN, to the late Carlen and Lou Rush Dill. He was a farmer, and was affiliated with the Church of Christ. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 1 Brother: Roy Dill. Survivors include his Life time companion: Anna Marie Stewart of Gainesboro, TN; 1 Son: Donnie C. (Brenda) Dill of Gainesboro, TN; 1 Daughter: Mattie Lou (Charles) Burgess of Antioch, TN; 5 Grandchildren: Corey (Jessica) Dill of Gainesboro, TN, Chris (Mandy) Dill of Clinton, TN, Jeff Burgess of Antioch, TN, Terry Alan (Tina) Burgess of Los Angeles, CA, and Stephen Anthony (Candle) Burgess of Glendale, AZ; 7 Great Grandchildren: Jadyn, Jaren, and Caleb Dill; Kristin, Kyle, Hannah, and Haven Burgess; and 2 Sisters: Revene Hix of Gainesboro, TN, and Margie Mahaney of Gainesboro, TN.
