Artie Lee Jones

Funeral services for Mr. Artie Lee Jones, 79, of Lafayette, Tennessee, will be held at 2 P.M. on Wednesday, January 14, 2009, at Alexander Funeral Home in Lafayette, TN. Burial will follow in the Hayesville Cemetery in Macon County, TN. The family will receive friends at Alexander Funeral Home on Tuesday from 1 P.M. - 9 P.M., and Wednesday from 11 A. M. until time of services. Mr. Jones passed away on Sunday, January 11, 2009, at Westmoreland Care and Rehab Center in Westmoreland, TN. He was born February 10, 1929, in Jackson County, TN, to the late Willie Andrew and Mamie Stafford Jones. On December 15, 1952, he was married to Robbie Gentry Jones, who survives. He was a farmer and a member of the Lafayette Church of Christ. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 1 Son: Ricky D. Jones; 1 Brother: I.B. Jones; and 1 Sister: Peggy Helen Jones. Survivors include his Wife: Robbie Gentry Jones of Lafayette, TN; 2 Sons: Tom Jones and Tony Jones, both of Gainesboro, TN; 1 Granddaughter: Brandi (Brandon) Hartman of Lafayette, TN; 1 Great-Grandchild: Lincoln Hartman; 1 Daughter-in-Law: Karen Long and her husband, Randy, of Lafayette, TN; 1 Brother: Earl (Bonnie) Jones of Gainesboro, TN; and 3 Sisters: Wanda (Jimmy Ray) Kennedy of Franklin, KY, Patsy Moss of Carthage, TN, and Annette (Rod) Brown of Gainesboro, TN.
