Arlen Boggs

Funeral services for Mr. Arlen Boggs, 85, of Cookeville, Tennessee, will be held at 2 P.M. on Wednesday, June 27, 2007, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the Dodson Branch Cemetery in the Dodson Branch community of Jackson County. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 12 noon until time of services. Mr. Boggs passed away on Monday, June 25, 2007, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center in Cookeville, TN. He was born January 26, 1922, in Seco County, KY, to the late Bishop and Cassie Joseph Boggs. On July 28, 1945, he was married to Trilby C. Boggs, who survives. He was retired from General Motors, and served in the U.S. Army. He was a member of Cummins Mill Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents: Bishop and Cassie Joseph Boggs; and 1 Son: Robert Bishop Boggs. Survivors include his wife: Trilby C. Boggs of Cookeville, TN; 2 Daughters and 1 Son-in-Law: Judy Vaughn of Franklin, Ohio, and Linda & Will Crider of Cookeville, TN; 6 Grandchildren: Tammy Vaughn, William Crider, Jr., James Dale Vaughn, Suzette Harp, Doug Crider, and Robert Paul Boggs; 4 Great - Grandchildren; 2 Brothers: Arthur and Okey Boggs, both of Kentucky; and 1 Sister: Elizabeth Dillinger of Franklin, Ohio. Rev. Billy Haney will officiate at the services.
