Annie Kinnaird Allen

Funeral services for Mrs. Annie Louise Kinnaird Allen, 78, of Cookeville, Tennessee, will be held at 11 A.M. on Monday, November 5, 2012, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Cookeville City Cemetery in Cookeville, TN. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 5 P.M. - 9 P. M., and Monday from 9 A.M. until time of services. She passed away on Friday, November 2, 2012, at her residence. She was born June 17, 1934, in Jackson County, TN, to the late Gilbert Kinnaird and Claudie Kinnaird. On December 22, 1951, she was married to the late Morgan Allen, who passed away March 14, 2012. She was a factory worker at Acme Boot and Wilson Sporting Goods, and a member of the Zion Church of Christ. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by 3 Brothers: Finnis Kinnaird, Glen Kinnaird, and James Wesley Kinnaird; and 4 Sisters: Geneva Ayers, Mary Young, Elfrida Farley, and Inell Edwards. Survivors include 1 Son: Donald M. Allen of Houston, TX; 1 Daughter: Wilma (Clay) Allen Helm of Rocky Mount, NC; 1 Grandchild: Nicholas Clay Helm of Raleigh, NC; 1 Brother: Harold Kinnaird of Cookeville, TN; and 3 Sisters: Kathy Knight of Flintville, TN, Irene Gore of Cookeville, TN, and Thelma Ford of Cookeville, TN. Bro. Jimmy Anderson will officiate at the services. In lieu of flowers and food, memorial donations may be made to the Children's Library at Zion Church of Christ by contacting the funeral home.
