Anita Gibbons Ballard

Funeral services for Mrs. Anita Gibbons Ballard, 55, of Gainesboro, Tennessee, will be held at 11 A.M. on Friday, July 19, 2013, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Lynn Cemetery in the Burristown community of Jackson County. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 6 to 9 P. M., Thursday from 2 to 9 P.M., and on Friday from 9 A.M. until time of services. She passed away on Sunday, July 14, 2013 at her residence in Gainesboro, TN. She was born March 28, 1958 in LaJolla, California, to Luther "Jamup" Gibbons and the late Mary Juanita Gibbons. She was an assistant manager of Mini-Mart in Cookeville, TN. She was a member of the Southern Baptist Church. In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by 1 Brother: William Thomas Gibbons and 1 Sister: Patsy Lee Gibbons, her Father-in-law and Mother-in-law: Cecil and Wilma Ballard Survivors include her Husband: Danny Ballard of Gainesboro, TN; 1 Daughter: Jennifer Ballard Alshawi; 2 Grandchildren: Ali and Faith Alshawi; her Father: Luther "Jamup" Gibbons of Cookeville, TN; 1 Brother: James H. Gibbons of Cookeville, TN; Niece: Amber D. Gibbons of Gainesboro, TN; and Aunt: Carol Lawton of Cookeville, TN. She is also survived by other relatives and friends. Rev. Billy Haney and Bro.
