Graveside services for Alvin C. "Joe" Martin, 60, formerly of Jackson County, TN, will be held at 2:30 P.M. on Friday, September 14, 2012 at the Pharris cemetery in the McCoinsville community of Jackson County, TN. The family will receive f riends on Friday from noon until 2 P. M. at Anderson-Upper Cumberland Funeral Home. He passed away on Thursday, September 6, 2012 in Hardeman County, TN. He was born November 19, 1951, in Jackson County, TN, to the late Arvil C. Martin and Eva L. Ramsey Martin. He was a construction worker. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 1 Daughter: Kathy Jo Martin. Survivors include 3 Sons: Timothy Martin of Crossville, TN; William Martin and Alvin Martin, Jr., both of Indiana; 1 Step- son: Vernon Thomas Mendoza of Cookeville, TN; 3 Brothers: Marvin Martin and Rellon Martin, both of Gainesboro, TN; and Jimmie Dale Martin of Cookeville, TN; 2 Sisters: Kathy Jo Stafford and Annette Anderson, both of Gainesboro, TN. He is also survived by 12 Grandchildren. Bro. Jimmy Anderson will officiate at the services. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alvin C.
