Funeral services for Mr. Alvin Clay Young, 67, of Gainesboro, TN, will be held at 2 P.M. on Monday, March 19, 2012, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the Pharris Cemetery in the McCoinsville community of Jackson County, TN. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 3 P.M. - 9 P. M., and on Monday from 10 A.M. until time of services. He passed away on Saturday, March 17, 2012, at Masters Health Care Center in Algood, TN. He was born June 12, 1944, in Jackson County, TN, to the late Edd Thomas Young and Stella Mai Mahaney Young. He was a construction worker and factory worker, and of the Baptist faith. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 3 Brothers: infant brother Tommy Young, U.L. Young, and Willie Edward Young; 1 Niece: Patricia Young; 2 Sisters-in-Law: Allene Young and Josephine Young; and 1 Brother-in-Law: Eston C. Wright. Survivors include 1 Considered as a Son: Josh Maynard of Gainesboro, TN; 3 Brothers: Roger Young and Kenneth (Brenda) Young, all of Ohio, and Eddie (Linda) Young of Gainesboro, TN; 6 Sisters: Alta (Richard) Miller, Wanda Young, and June Young, all of Ohio; Mary Richards and Lynda (Taylor) Brown, both of Gainesboro, TN; and Frances Wright of Maryland; 1 Sister-in-Law: Shirley Young of Ohio; Special Cousin: Joe Young of Gainesboro, TN; 18 Nieces and Nephews; 23 Great Nieces and Nephews; and 3 Great Great Nieces and Nephew.
