Funeral services for Mr. Alton Lee Brown 77, of Gainesboro, TN, will be held at 12:30 P.M. on Sunday, May 8, 2016, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the Bybee-Anderson Cemetery in the Sugar Creek community of Jackson County, TN. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 5 P.M. to 9 P.M. and on Sunday from 9 A.M. until time of services. He passed away on Thursday, May 5, 2016, at Cumberland River Hospital in Celina, TN. He was born on August 7, 1938 in Jackson County to the late Robert Marion Brown and Etta Clyde "Dude" Jackson Brown. On April 3, 1968, he was married to Bernice Brown, who survives. He was a brick mason who worked in commercial and residential construction. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 1 Brother: Jimmy Brown Survivors include his Wife: Bernice Brown of Gainesboro, TN; 2 Daughters: Michelle Meadows of Cookeville, TN and Lisa (Steve) Bybee of Gainesboro, TN; 4 Grandchildren: Jessica Quiett, Grant Bybee, Brittney Meadows, and Taylor Meadows; 2 Great-Grandchildren: Kenli Scott and Beau Quiett; 1 Sister: Glenda West of Gainesboro, TN; 2 Nieces: Kim Young and Melinda Edwards; and 3 Nephews: Jimmy Bond, Jessie West, and Tim Scantland. Great nieces, great nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. Bro. Randy Maynard will officiate at the services.
