Funeral services for Mrs. Alma Jean Hooper, 65, of Goodlettsville, TN, will be held on Sunday, August 20, 2017 at 3 P.M. at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the Ike Flatt Cemetery on Flynns Creek Road in Jackson County, TN. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 1 P.M. until time of services. She passed away on Thursday, August 17, 2017, at her residence. She was born September 3, 1951, in Jackson County, TN to the late Odell Flatt and Sadie Flatt. On May 7, 1983, she was married to the late Tommy Hooper. She was a secretary, and a fan of Vanderbilt athletics and girls high school basketball. She was a member of the Church of Christ. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by 2 Brothers: Roy Cooper Flatt and Rickie Flatt. Survivors include 3 Brothers: Hubert (Nina) Flatt of Gainesboro, TN, Larry (Rae Jean) Flatt of Birmingham, AL, and Roger (Shirley) Flatt of Madison, MS; and 5 Sisters: Elise (Wayne) Mackie of Greenbrier, TN, Anna Mai (Jimmie) Pittman of Gladeville, TN, Sue (Earl) Pond of Murfreesboro, TN, Linda Graves of Gladeville, TN, and Teresa Jordan of Mt. Juliet, TN. Several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends also survive. Bro. Jimmy Anderson will officiate at the services.
