Alma Irene Williford

Funeral services for Miss Alma Irene Williford, 72, of Gainesboro, Tennessee, will be held at 3 P.M. on Sunday, July 15, 2012, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Cubb Creek Cemetery in the Cubb Creek community of Jackson County, TN. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 5 P.M. - 9 P.M., and Sunday from 1 P.M. until time of services. She passed away on Thursday, July 12, 2012, at her residence in the Hurricane community of Jackson County. She was born October 20, 1939, in Jackson County, TN, to the late Mabry Williford and Ruth Sloan Williford. She was a retired school teacher at Gainesboro Elementary School, and a member of the Hurricane Church of Christ. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 1 Brother: Sidney Williford; and 1 Brother-in-Law: Larry Dickens. Survivors include 2 Brothers: Joe (Annette) Williford of Christiana, TN and Tom (Martha) Williford of Cookeville, TN; 4 Sisters: Patricia (Don) Floyd of Murfreesboro, TN, Nancy Loftis of Clinton, TN, Cindy (Pat) Hughes of Murfreesboro, TN, and Dianne Dickens of Oak Ridge, TN; and 1 Sister-in-Law: Mary Williford of Sparta, TN. 21 nieces and nephews, 31 great nieces and nephews, 1 great great niece, and 1 great great nephew also survive. Bro. Doyle Wilmoth and Jody Dickens will officiate at the services.
