Agnes Loftis Martin

Funeral services for Mrs. Agnes Loftis Martin, 88, of the McCoinsville community of Jackson County, TN, will be held at 2 P.M. on Tuesday, February 28, 2017, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the John L. Clark Memorial Cemetery in the Stone community of Jackson County, TN. The family will receive friends on Monday from 4 P.M. to 9 P.M., and on Tuesday from 10 A.M. until time of services. She passed away on Friday, February 24, 2017, at Bethesda Health Care Center in Cookeville, TN. She was born July 12, 1928, in Jackson County, TN, to the late Herod Loftis and Flossie B. Loftis. On January 25, 1949, she was married to the late Lewis Martin, Jr., who passed away May 5, 2015. She was a homemaker, and a member of the McCoinsville Church of Christ. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by 1 Daughter and Son-in-Law: Carolyn and Johnnie Long; and 7 Brothers. Survivors include 2 Brothers: J.L. Loftis and Herod "Whitey" (Linda) Loftis, Jr., all of Gainesboro, TN; and 2 Sisters: Lucille Mansell of Cookeville, TN, and Betty Heady of Lebanon, TN.
