Agnes Chaffin Gentry

Funeral services for Mrs. Agnes Chaffin Gentry, 84, of Gainesboro, Tennessee, will be held at 11 A.M. on Friday, December 17, 2010, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the Mansell Cemetery in the Freewill community of Jackson County, TN. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 4 P.M. - 9 P.M., on Thursday from 10 A.M. - 9 P.M., and on Friday from 9 A.M. until time of services. She passed away on Tuesday, December 14, 2010, at her residence. She was born April 24, 1926, in Jackson County, TN, to the late Frank Chaffin and Lizzie Lawson Chaffin. On July 18, 1947, she was married to the late Dulis "Dude" Gentry, who passed away August 19, 1987. She was a homemaker, and a member of the Church of Christ. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by 3 Brothers: A.J., Hoover, and Clorcie Chaffin; and 3 Sisters: Ermma Ballard, Eunice Hensley, and Vaudie Hensley. Survivors include 2 Daughters: Velma Gentry Young and Helen (Danny) Hensley, all of Gainesboro, TN; 1 Step-Son: Jackie Gentry of Cookeville, TN; 3 Grandchildren: Timmy Young, Tony Young, and Cheryl Hensley; 4 Great- Grandchildren: Kaitlyn Young, Kelsey Young, Kaleb Young, and Kristen Young; and 1 Sister: Mary Bull of Gainesboro, TN. Several nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends also survive. Bro. Jimmy Anderson and Bro. Raymond Hensley will officiate at the services.
