Ada Faye Tucker

Funeral services for Mrs. Ada Faye Tucker, 84, of Gainesboro, Tennessee, will be held at 2 P.M. on Saturday, July 18, 2009, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the Crest Lawn Memorial Cemetery in Cookeville, TN. The family will receive friends on Friday from 3 P.M. - 8 P.M., and Saturday from 11 A.M. until time of services. Mrs. Tucker passed away on Thursday, July 16, 2009, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center in Cookeville, TN. She was born May 30, 1925, in Putnam County, TN, to the late Thurman and Mabel Medley Alcorn. On May 30, 1946, she was married to the late Albert L. Tucker, who passed away June 30, 1987. She was a retired school teacher and a member of the Jackson County Retired Teachers Association. She was a member of the Gainesboro First United Methodist Church. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by 1 Brother: Neil D. Alcorn. Survivors include 1 Son: David L. (Wanda) Tucker of Gainesboro, TN; 2 Daughters: Margaret Tucker of Nashville, TN, and Susan (Johnny) Law of Carthage, TN; 4 Grandchildren: Seth (Melissa) Tucker of Cookeville, TN, Jessica (Jason) Hardy of Shelbyville, TN, Joseph Law and Maggie Beth Law, both of Carthage, TN; 3 Great Grandchildren: Kyleigh Brooke and Jacob Hardy, and Elijah Charles Tucker; 1 Sister: Peggy (Dow Allison) Burton of Clinton, TN; and her Special Friend: Brenda Cherry of Gainesboro, TN.
