Acadia Linton was born March 26, 2010. She passed away on May 5, 2024. She was born in Cleveland, TN. At her time of death, she was 14 years old. She passed away at Monroe Carell Jr. Vanderbilt Children's Hospital in Nashville, TN.


She was the daughter of Timothy and Natalie Linton of Cookeville, TN.


Acadia was an 8th grader at Avery Trace Middle School in Cookeville, TN. She was full of life. Like most teens, she loved to watch movies, and play video games. She looked forward to checking celebrity birthday's every morning. Acadia enjoyed swimming, roller skating, and bowling. However, spending time with her family meant the most to her. She loved animals.


She was preceded in death by her grandfather: Timothy Puckett of Granville, TN., and Marty Puckett of GA.


Survivors include her fur baby, Pickles the hamster; parents: Timothy and Natalie Linton of Cookeville, TN; brothers: Liam (Taylor) Linton of Springfield, OH. and Dewey Smith of Cookeville, TN; sister: Zealand (Casey Strickland) Linton of Cookeville, TN; niece: Tori Linton and nephew: Everett Linton both of Springfield, OH; grandparents: Diana Puckett of Granville, TN, Gerald and Durelle Linton of Athens, TN. and Sue Linton of Charleston, SC. Many other friends and relatives survive.


The family has chosen cremation at this time with a Memorial Service to be held later.


In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to Monroe Carell Jr. Vanderbilt Children's Hospital in Nashville, TN. in her honor. Donations may be made by contacting the business office of Anderson Upper Cumberland Funeral Home. Also, the family would like to express their gratitude to the American Red Cross for the assistance Acadia was given throughout her illness and would like to encourage blood donations be made in her honor at a location of the donor's choosing.
